Press conference on the results from the Internationalization Support Services Survey
Results from the Internationalization Support Services Survey are to be published 22.9.2006 at Technopolis Ventures.
Welcome to a press conference organised at Technopolis Ventures (Tekniikantie 21, Espoo) on September 22 to publish the results from Internationalization Support Services Survey.
Researchers at Technology Business Research Center, Lappeenranta University of Technology, conducted a survey on the usage and quality of internationalization support services to Finnish software companies and support service providers in the spring 2006.
The aim of the research project was to evaluate the use, usefulness and effectiveness of internationalization support services from the viewpoint of (1) managers of Finnish software companies and (2) the organisations providing these services.
The second purpose of this study was to evaluate the use and usefulness of the Internationalization Handbook for the Software Business, released in 2005 by Centre of Expertise for Software Product Business.
The survey had altogether 36 respondents including software companies and internationalization support services providers. Results indicate that during their internationalisation process Finnish software companies would need more hands on support, particularly when searching for partners and creating partnerships.
