EU Project Guides and Support

The European Union funds research and innovation activities with some 50 billion euro in the years 2007-2013. Much of the funding is available to universities and researchers to support their research activities. These pages are designed to help you to fashion your research plan so that it can get funding from the EU. The aim is to help you to take the specific requirements of EU project into consideration when planning your research project.

In the Planning and preparation Section you will find general information about EU projects (primarily Framework 7 (FP7) projects).

In the Proposal Section you will find information about the specific research fields supported by the EU. Here you will also find a link to the Electronic Proposal Submission Service (EPSS) through which you will submit your proposal.

In the Administrative Issues Section you will find information about all the administrative aspects of EU projects, especially financial regulations.

In the Legal Issues Section you will find information about the various rules, regulations and agreements that guide the work in EU projects. Here is also information about the Negotiation phase (after the EC decides to fund a project, the terms and conditions under which the project is carried out are negotiated).

In the Additional Information Section you will find various links to useful information sources as well as the contact information of the people who can help you with EU project related issues at the Lappeenranta University of Technology.
